SEARCA Launches Book on Climate Change

Los Baños-based research agency SEAMEO-SEARCA (Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization-Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture) recently published a book titled "Moving Forward: Southeast Asian Perspectives on Climate Change and Biodiversity."

The book is very timely in these times of rampant environmental degradation taking place everywhere in the world. Dr. Percy Sajise, a former Director of SEARCA, co-edited the book with current SEARCA Director Dr. Gil C. Saguiguit Jr. and SEARCA colleague Dr. Mariliza Ticsay.

The book talks about the "debilitating impacts of climate change on biodiversity, as well as how biodiversity could enhance mitigation and adaptation approaches," according to Dr. Sajise.

SEARCA is based in Los Banos, Laguna, Philippines.
