73rd UAAP Swimming Competition Begins

Trace Aquatics Center, Los Banos, Laguna plays host to the UAAP 73rd Season Swimming Competition, starting today. University of the Philippines' Lady Maroons, the reigning champions in the women's division, will battle it out with De La Salle University to defend their title. Ateneo remains a strong competitor trailing closely behind the two.

If the Lady Maroons swimming team wins, this will be their second straight title win, while the La Salle team will regain the title back should they win. De La Salle last held the swimming championship title in 2008.

The men’s division will see De La Salle defend their championship title minus their three-time MVP player Enchong Dee, who has already graduated and is now a popular actor. Dee's departure from the ream may give Ateneo the incentive to edge out their closest rival.
